Hey Best Friend!
I’m LaNette, owner of Bigger Than Books Academy. I’m a Christian Best-Selling Author, Writing Coach, and Certified Grief Coach. At Bigger Than Books, I help writers, aspiring authors, and creatives turn their ideas into books and share their stories with the world. Originally from Texas, I now enjoy the mountains and hiking trails of Colorado.
I’m also a Marine wife, mother, and grandmother who loves writing, cooking, and meeting new people. I earned a Bachelor of Science from Texas Wesleyan University, an Associate of Arts from Tarrant County College, and recently completed a Master’s in Legal Studies from Texas A&M University. During college, I was honored to join the Sigma Kappa Delta English Honor Society and the Alpha Kappa Delta Sociology Society.
Because of my passion for helping self-published authors succeed, I recently completed an 14-week entrepreneurship cohort program in Colorado and earned a certificate in Women’s Entrepreneurship from Cornell University. Most of my clients have had their work featured on major news outlets, appeared on Amazon Best-Seller lists, and/or shared their stories on well-known stages such as TEDx.
In 2019, I wrote and self-published four books, and one became a top seller on Amazon in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada.
